School Policies
Ballet as an art form requires discipline and dedication. Rules and Regulations are developed to ensure that the best learning environment is maintained.
ATTENDANCE
Attendance at all scheduled classes is required. Unexcused absences may result in dismissal from the school and any performances. Make-up classes will be granted and must be taken within the current month.
SNOW/MAKE-UP CLASSES
If there is a delay opening or school cancellation Nashua there will be No AM classes. Please check the studio machine or updates/news for the status of afternoon and evening classes. A cancellation message will be on the machine by 2:00pm, if our regular message plays then we are holding classes, please if you are uncomfortable with the weather, please use your discretion. Students may make-up their class in the same level or lower level then the missed class ( please check with your instructor or Administration office).
PEEK WEEKS
Parents & guardians are invited to watch their child(ren) class and view their progress. Dates for peek week will be announced in the monthly news letters.
TUITION
Tuition is based on Northern Ballet Theatre Dance Centre year (September 2, 2009- June 19, 2010 and is due on the first of every month. No refunds or credits will be given for any missed classes. Tuition can be paid by check, money order, and cash only. Cash should not be sent by mail. Always include the students name on the payment. A $15.00 late charge will be assessed on the 10th of the month if payment has not been made.
There will be a $25.00 service charge for any returned checks
NBTDC does not pro-rate for missed classes. Students are required to attend all classes. Missed classes can be made up in the same level or a lower level if there is a class at another time. All missed classes must be made up within that month.
WITHDRAWLS
When a student withdraws from Northern Ballet Theatre Dance Centre classes, it is necessary to notify the Administration Office in writing to ensure that your account will properly be closed. Informing your childs instructor is not considered a formal notification of withdrawal. Withdrawals are effective once it is received by the Administration Office. In cases where notification is received after the student stops attending classes, the billing contract will still be held liable for tuition due for classes between the last attended class(es) and the effective withdrawal date. A formal withdrawal form will be sent to the parents to complete and return to the Administration office.
A student withdrawing from levels 5 & 6 between Sept 10th - Mar 10th for a non-medical reason will be assessed a $100.00 Early Withdrawal Fee. This fee will be waived in the case of a serious illness or injury, documented by a doctor's explanation. NBTDC reserves the right to formally withdraw any student whose family's account is two months behind in arrears. Once the students account is brought up to current the student may then re-register, as long as his/her spot has not been filled.
